Posted by MegaHouse’s Portrait of Pirates Sa-Maximum series has launched a new figure of Monkey D. Luffy Gear 4 “Boundman” in an updated version, which is selected from the powerful posture of fighting against Doflamingo in One Piece manga, and the visual impact is very good. Let’s take a look!
This Monkey D. Luffy figure adopts a 1/8 scale, and the overall height has reached 10.63 inches, approx. 27 cm.

The picture above is a figure of Monkey D. Luffy Gear Four “Boundman” once launched by MegaHouse in 2017. Compared with the new figure, its design is more static. It mainly shows the pose that Luffy had just turned in his Gear 4 “Boundman” form.
And the design of this new figure is very dynamic! In the Gear 4 “Boundman” form, Monkey D. Luffy hits a very powerful and heavy attack with his left hand. With a roaring expression and a forward-leaning posture, it is much more domineering than the Ver.1 version.
The whole body of Monkey D. Luffy is supported by smoke special effects, showing the posture of leaping high in the air and preparing to punch. There is a bursting effect around the left arm, which highlights the great power of this palm.
The whole base is made up of smoke special effects, which cleverly connect the main body to the base through smoke, avoiding the use of brackets.
In addition, the fluttering shape of the steam around Luffy’s body is exactly the opposite of the direction of rushing. This design enhances the speed and dynamics of punching.
Luffy’s inflated upper body and small thin legs form a perfect inverted triangle shape, and there is a touch of cuteness in the domineering.
After Luffy’s transformation, the depiction of the upper body muscles is also very delicate. Especially the muscle lines also are treated of shadow coating, the character image has been greatly improved.
