Posted by Threezero recently launched a new MDLX series after its DLX series, and the first action figure of this series is the Transformers Bumblebee. The new modeling has made a lot of mechanized improvements on the basis of the Bumblebee G1 cartoon version (Generation 1 cartoon continuity). Let’s together have a look!
This Bumblebee action figure belongs to Threezero’s brand-new MDLX series. The size is very small, with a total height of only 12cm and less than 5 inches.
And MDLX, is a new series of articulated figures, as the name suggests, presents its renowned DLX series in the form of a small scale.
This action figure is based on the original 1980s Transformers cartoon and toy series, it was then redesigned by Threezero’s Art Director Kelvin Sau.
There are a lot of changes in its new modeling, not only the two horns of the bumblebee become curved and slender. Moreover, a lot of mechanical details have been added to the original simple style.
Compared with the image in the G1 cartoon, this action figure is indeed very different.
In addition to becoming more rounded overall, you can also notice that the arms and legs are yellow this time.
It did not use the black color scheme of the original appearance in G1.
This time it also uses the fine technology of Threezero’s DLX series, with a unique die-cast zinc alloy and engineer-grade plastic frame embedded in the figure.
You can see that the outer armor parts also have obvious weathering painting and oil stain treatment.
Therefore, the details of the outer armor are still very rich and have a good texture.
In addition, this Bumblebee action figure provides 36 points of articulation totally.
With as many as 36 points of articulation and die-cast frame, the mobility and stability of this bumblebee action figure are excellent, especially the hip and ankle joints, which can make a very large and dexterous posture.
On both inner sides of the feet, you can see the details of the hidden wheels. And the mechanical structures on both sides of the body are also very rich.
The accessories are not very rich, in addition to the interchangeable hands, this time it comes with a Laser blaster and another interchangeable head.
And this head sculpt is a masked face in combat mode, which looks a lot more fierce than the standard head.
The surface of the weapon has good mechanical details this time. And It has also been painted with weathering application. Combining with the action figure, you can display it in some combat poses.
Overall, Threezero’s first Bumblebee action figure in the MDLX series has good mobility and richness of detail.
Threezero launched the MDLX series in order to create better affordable prices to attract consumers. Although it is a small size of 5 inches, it must be very good to play based on the above advantages.
