Posted by After Threezero launched the 12cm Transformers Bumblebee Figure of the MDLX series, it recently presented the second figure of the MDLX series, Transformers Optimus Prime! While the playability is high and the price is tempting, let’s take a look!
MDLX is a new series of articulated figures, and presents its renowned DLX series at a small scale.
The height of this MDLX Optimus Prime Figure is 18 cm, so it is a bit bigger compared with the MDLX Bumblebee figure.
Based on the original 1980s Transformers cartoon and toy series, it is also redesigned and remixed with Threezero’s hyper-detailed mechanical aesthetic.
You can see its whole body has a strong G1 style and is full of mechanical texture. And the weathering application is utilized to highlight all the details.
Just like the MDLX Bumblebee Figure, this MDLX Optimus Prime Figure also uses a frame that combines die-cast zinc alloy and plastic, which reduces costs and doesn’t sacrifice hand feeling and stability.
There is a flat backpack at the back, which should be designed to increase the thickness and beauty of the back. In addition, there are mechanical spine details in the middle of the waist.
The action of Threezero toys has always been very excellent. and this Optimus Prime figure even provides as many as 48 points of articulation. From the picture, we can see that the pose is obviously more tension, and it has an anime effect!
As shown in the picture above, it is also easy to do a POSE that touches the ground.
In addition, the window on Optimus Prime’s chest can be removed to reveal the Autobot Matrix of Leadership inside. However, it is a pity that the window cannot be opened and closed directly due to the size.
The Autobot Matrix of Leadership in the chest can also be taken out and held in his hands and displays in a special pose.
The playability of this Optimus Prime Figure’s accessories is not bad, in addition to the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, it is also equipped with a variety of interchangeable hands and 2 weapons.
The Ion Blaster, one of the main weapons, has very eye-catching details. The body of the gun is very slender, and it also has a texture of metal abrasion effect.
Another attached weapon is Optimus Prime’s Energon Axe. The mechanical details at the end of the axe are very rich. Although it is made of plastic, the metal‘s sharpness of the axe blade is reflected.
The MDLX Bumblebee Figure has only 3 pairs of interchangeable hands, but this MDLX Optimus Prime is equipped with up to 6 pairs of interchangeable hands, so the playability must be greatly increased.
One pair of hands is used for holding the Energon Axe.
One pair of hands is used for holding the Ion Blaster.
Other hands are also interesting, such as posed hands, fists, hands used for holding the Matrix of Leadership, etc.
